Profile - Dr Pascal Haefliger

Pascal Haefliger, PhD, MChem, MASPH, is the founding director of Health & Environment Consulting. Dr Haefliger is a specialist in chemical safety, environmental health, and health emergency management. He has extensive international experience in the development of technical and scientific materials, in project management, in capacity building and training, in monitoring and evaluation, and in the provision of humanitarian and development aid for chemical and environmental health emergencies.

Pascal Haefliger previously worked as Head of Sector for health promotion and prevention for the General Directorate for Health of the Canton of Geneva. He also worked as Technical Officer at the Department of Public Health and Environment of the World Health Organization (WHO), and as Researcher at the University of Zurich.

Pascal holds a Master in Chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Zurich, a Master of Advanced Studies in Public Health from the University of Geneva, and an Executive Master in International Negotiation and Policy Making from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
